Mission Statement
Engaged Early Education works to empower Johnson County early childhood educators to create lasting, positive change for young children through support, advocacy and increased resource access. Early childhood education is crucial as it lays the foundation for lifelong learning and social and emotional growth. Research-backed methods for teaching young children emphasizes fostering a supportive, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Unfortunately, a lack of resources in many classrooms causes teachers to struggle with implementing critical hands-on experiences and enrichment activities. Engaged Early Education works to address these resource gaps through a variety of teacher consultant services and resource sharing efforts. All students deserve equitable access to high-quality education provided by supported, inspired educators. We create lifelines built to overcome systemic barriers against educators so they can continue to foster learning environments that create resilient, critical thinkers in their classrooms and communities.

About Us
Early Childhood Educators work with children from birth to age 8, building the very foundations of their students' experiences with school and education. This foundation is often built on the backs of hard working, underpaid educators who often receive minimal support and opportunity for professional development. Engaged Early Education believes that by providing more support, professional development, resources, enrichment and experiences for early childhood educators, the better each and every program can become. We want to help you provide a more integrated, STEAM rich program to your students. By prioritizing research backed learning experiences, hands-on creative play, and building a classroom community, your early learners will feel loved, safe and can then build their curiosity and love of learning. Your teachers and your students deserve to have educators that feel supported through a variety of means. Engaged Early Education offers a variety of services for early childhood classrooms and administrators, such as:
-
"Done with you" STEAM based programming - Tiny & Junior Scientists
-

As an endeavor of The James Gang and registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the state of Iowa, Engaged Early Education believes in the power of community centered progress and education. In order to build the organization's efforts, reach and resources, some services require a donation for administrative costs and in building other offerings. We also regularly seek out corporate partnerships, grant opportunities and conduct fundraising campaigns. If your company or organization would like to sponsor services or programs for an area child care facility, school or program, please contact me to discuss earmarking donations for this purpose.
